After being selected at 18 years old in the 1989 Major League Amateur Draft by The Toronto Blue Jays, Marc elected to attend Wake Forest University of the Power-5 ACC Conference on a full athletic scholarship. There he pitched four years, recording wins over Miami, Clemson, Florida State, Cal State Northridge, Maryland, Fairfield, North Carolina, Campbell and many others - graduating 2nd in all-time wins with a 24-7 record. He was named ACC Pitcher of The Week multiple times, and a member of the ACC All-Academic Team. Subsequently, he coached at Chaminade High School for 10 seasons as varsity pitching coach and now serves as pitching coach for Next Level Baseball. He has been named Mercy University's pitching coach for the 2024 season. Mercy is a member of the NCAA Division II East Coast Conference.
